Abstract Submission - Extended until June 13th

Abstract submission has now been closed.

Abstract and Travel Grants
ISPAD 2011 welcomes the submission of abstracts for original contribution to the field. All abstracts submitted will go through a blind, peer-review process carried out by an international review panel. Each abstract will be reviewed by at least two reviewers and the final selection of abstracts will be completed by members of the Abstract Review Committee. All accepted abstracts will appear in their full form in the abstract book, which will be issued as a special supplement of Pediatric Diabetes and on the Abstract CD-ROM, which will be available at the conference.

Guidelines

Rule of Two
Each presenting author may present a maximum of two abstracts at the Conference. There is no limit to the number of abstracts which may be submitted by one author.

Abstract categories
The abstract categories are the general heading under which abstracts will be submitted and reviewed.

Notification of Acceptance or Rejection
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding author by mid August 2011. Please note that only the corresponding author will receive this email concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive instructions for the presentation of their abstract.

Standard Travel Grants
All delegates submitting an abstract may apply for travel grants during the abstract submission process. Requirements: 40 years of age or less, ISPAD member (all dues paid), first author of an abstract.
For applicants coming from South America the grant amounts to 900 USD, for North America to 600 USD, for those from Europe to 900 USD and for other departures the travel grant amounts to 1,500 USD. Please note that the travel grant may not cover the whole travel cost. Travel grant awardees still need to pay registration fees and need to arrange their travel and accommodation.
